My name is Monique.
I am a dedicated and compassionate counsellor and psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field.
Based in the Baldivis / Rockingham area, I specialise in providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.
This usually enables people to resolve unease and help alleviate some distress, progressing towards a more resolved and content feeling.
Passionate about empowering clients to make meaningful changes in their lives, I work collaboratively with individuals facing challenges like anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions.
I have been told my warm and empathetic demeanor fosters trust, allowing clients to engage in honest conversations and personal growth.
With a deep understanding of various therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (fifth wave CBT), Narrative therapy, Brief Solution Focused therapy and person-centered therapy, I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
Beyond individual therapy, I also offer clinical supervision for clinicians in the mental health or counselling fields.
I offer workshops and group sessions focused on specific skills (such a self -care in the workplace, tools for avoiding burn-out, and personal development), helping participants build resilience and connect with others in a supportive community.
I hold a Bachelor of Counselling from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle, along with a Master of Social work from the University of Western Australia.
I am committed to continuous learning and professional development, regularly attending workshops and training to stay current with the latest research and therapeutic techniques.
This includes EMDR training, level 2, almost completed.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself or someone you care about, I am here to guide you on your journey towards a clearer and more peaceful sense of self.
